Sponge with PSA Fabrication

May 8, 2015 0 Comments fabrication
Sponge rubber is commonly used in die cut applications in the manufacture of non-slip pads, feet, and gasketing applications.  Many gaskets and other sponge rubber items are produced with pressure sensitive adhesive systems (PSA), and may be put up in sheets, rolls or individual peel and stick units for inclusion to the end user.  Most materials are closed cell, meaning that their cell structure is complete and each cell is isolated.  This prevents absorption of water and also gives the material better physical properties for most applications.  EPDM and Neoprene are most common, but various forms of polyethylene foams are also available.  Open cell materials can be used for absorbent and filtering applications.  Polyurethane is most common and is available in fine and coarse cell structures for different applications. Thermoprene is confident they can help you in any of your Fabrication needs. polyurethane extrusion
