Design and production of mating parts is critical to our success, as we participate in recommending different methods of joining materials for proper function and operation. This example shows how two extruded profiles can be “snap-fit” together, which often incorporates a variety of hinge, darts, bulb and socket strategies. Alternately, some parts only need to slide together, and some parts can be designed with a male edge, and female edge, which mate to themselves when reversed.
